West Bromwich Youth Council get involved in planning events for West Bromwich Town Centre
On Thursday 19th September 2013 I met the “West Bromwich Youth Council”. I met with them to involve them in running events for West Bromwich Town Centre and what youths would want in there town. This was a very successful meetings. We will be working closely together for the future. West Bromwich Youth Council are also on West Bromwich Town Centre Partnership Board.

What do “West Bromwich Youth Council” do:-
They meet weekly as a group of young people aged between 11-19 who live in the West Bromwich area. They represent young people who live in West Bromwich Town. They are the voice of young people in West Bromwich. They undertake projects in the area to support community events and raise the profile of WBYC.
What has “West Bromwich Youth Council” done:-
They are currently assisting with the planning and supporting of re-launch of West Bromwich Library. Organised a Jobs Fair for Young People in West Bromwich which was reported on BBC MIDLANDS. In partnership with Museum Service we organised a sleepover, making a video of how Young People can get involved in a local historic building. Undertaking Shadowing of: Jan Britton-SMBC, Mayor–Keith Davies, Youth Services Officer.
West Bromwich Youth Council are also proud owners of a Community Award for West Bromwich for 2013.
