SMBC Grants for Businesses

West Bromwich BID Team are in discussion with SMBC Business Rates on grants that are available to businesses:-

Small Business Grant Fund

Qualifying Businesses – Businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or less, already in receipt of Small Business Rate Relief or the Rural Rate Relief Scheme.

• Amount of grant – £10,000

Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Business Grants Fund

This grant is available to those businesses which qualify for the Expanded Retail Discount Scheme, with a rateable value below £51,000 – and as such have had their Business Rates bills reduced to zero for the financial year 2020/2021.

Amount of grant:

• £10,000 for properties with a rateable value of £15,000 or less;
• £25,000 for properties with a rateable value of more than £15,000 but less than £51,000
