West Bromwich BID 2025 to 2030

West Bromwich BID was established back in 2015 and is one of 359 Business Improvement District nationwide. Every BID must have a five-year business plan, which gets endorsed through a renewal. This ensures that West Bromwich BID delivers on its promises and allows levy paying businesses an opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the BID every 5 years.

West Bromwich BID is now asking its levy paying businesses and organisations in the town centre to actively endorse its BID 3 2025-2030 by voting YES. A positive endorsement ensures West Bromwich BID can continue to invest £1.4m back into West Bromwich town centre over the next 5 years for the benefit of all businesses.

The business plan clearly establishes West Bromwich BID’s strategic direction over the next 5 year from 2025-2030 West Bromwich BID 3 – 2025 to 2030 – FINAL.pdf

These are:

  • To have a welcoming city which is clean, safe, and friendly.
  • To create and establish events which are inspirational, driving footfall into the town centre.
  • Working collaboratively on new initiatives, giving voices and support to business, and bringing all sectors of the town centre together

All levy paying businesses will receive a GREEN ballot paper through royal mail post from Friday 28th February 2025. Simply tick “YES” to vote for a third term of West Bromwich BID and then return in the post. Businesses may receive more than one ballot paper – please return all ballot papers.

Supporting the BID and why you should vote “YES”

Without A Majority YES Vote

We would lose the connected, collaborative business community that we have all worked hard to build and the incredible benefits this has brought to the town centre. The current BID term would come to an end on 30th June 2025, resulting in:

  • NO Town Ambassadors patrolling your town 6 days a week
  • NO West Bromwich Town website
  • NO Events programme in the BID area
  • NO BID loyalty card
  • NO Business Crime Reduction Partnership Meetings
  • NO Reporting of un-even paving slabs or dangerous slabs
  • NO Point of contact to report fly-tipping and SMBC issues
  • NO Colourful hanging baskets
  • NO Voice for West Bromwich Businesses in local, regional and national forums
  • NO Dedicated Social Media platforms
  • NO Events for the town to drive footfall
  • NO Christmas light switch-on event
  • NO BID News Magazine
  • NO BID Networking events
  • NO Graffiti removal from private premises
  • NO Additional Cleaning on the high street
  • NO Training for levy payers i.e. de-fig training

However, with the majority YES vote, not only can we maintain our thriving business network and wide range of successful services, we will continue to improve and develop West Bromwich Town to achieve its exciting potential.

Every VOTE makes a difference.
